Yesterday, my family returned to the Washington, DC Independence Day fireworks celebration after a 22-year hiatus. Doing so brought back a memory worth passing along.

Did you ever look at a thing and think, “Something’s different about you”? Maybe it’s the light, or the circumstance, or that you, yourself have changed. Or maybe there is just something else in the water you can’t name, you don’t understand, or is just beneath a surface you decide is not worth the plunge. Going into DC yesterday brought back a memory of just such a phenomenon. I would like to share it with you.
